Norton Commando, Atlas 650/750/850cc 3/8 cycle, Con rod/big end bolt. # Nut is WW26338 #. In reaction to claims made by other suppliers of this Big End Bolt on the internet, Wassell wish to reassure our customers that:- a) Our bolt is forged, and not turned from solid bar, and b) Our bolts use rolled threads. Further to this, we are able to supply an independent test certificate comparing tensile strengths, hardness and failure location of different bolts currently on the market.This independent test was made on 4 different bolts in August 2012:- 1-i) Wassell bolt WW26244 supplied to the Norvill Motorcycle Company 1-ii) Original Norvill forged bolt 2-i), and 2-ii) Two stock bolts supplied by Andover Norton. These tests were not commissioned by Wassell limited, and we have respected the confidentiality of the proprietor.We believe the results below make very interesting reading!
