NGK / NTK Ignition Lead Set Copper Core RC-AD1102 2 Circuit Copper core ignition cables with interference suppression are manufactured with a copper core surrounded by a silicone layer that serves as an electrical insulator. Copper is an excellent conductor, but is also very sensitive to corrosion. Therefore, the copper core of such ignition cables is tin-plated. The outer insulation, made of silicone rubber, can withstand temperatures up to 220°C and is resistant to gas and oil.
